First Cadet Male to Receive Spaatz in Aguadilla Cadet Squadron

Cadet Colonel Carlos Muñoz is the newest Puerto Rico Wing cadet recipient of the Spaatz Award, #2288, the highest milestone of the CAP Cadet Program, making history as the first cadet male to achieve such distinction in Muñiz ANG Cadet Squadron (SER-PR-126) after he completed all requirements on July 26, 2020.
Cadet Colonel Jennifer Torres is the newest Puerto Rico Wing cadet recipient of the Spaatz Award number 2275, the highest milestone of the CAP Cadet Program, making history as the first Spaatz cadet in the Aguadilla Cadet Squadron receive such distinction, after she completed all requirements on Feb 29, 2020.
Acting in its role as the auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, Civil Air Patrol’s Puerto Rico Wing recently transported personnel and health supplies, as well as test kits, as part of the island’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Saturday, February 15, 2020 former cadet colonel and now Capt Angelymar Sanchez successfully completed her CAP Pilot Flight Evaluation becoming officially, in many years, the first CAP female pilot in Puerto Rico Wing and the first of this decade 2020 at Fernando Rivas Dominicci Airport in Isla Grande, Puerto Rico.
On Sunday, February 9, 2020 CAP volunteers from Kingdom Cadet Squadron (PR-801) and Adler Cadet Squadron (PR-802) located at Dorado and Gurabo, respectively, contributed to the disaster relief efforts by assisting local personnel from the daily workload delivering supplies and fixing refugee tents at Guánica, Puerto Rico.
Participants were evaluated for recommendations to the directors of the activities they applied. These activities are designed to explore civilian and military aerospace careers, provide flight training, develop leadership, and enhance emergency services skills.
A formidable match took place between four teams representing their respecting squadrons during the one-day long 2019 PRWG Cadet Competition held at Fort Buchanan’s facilities on Saturday, December 21, 2019.
On December 14, 2019, the Civil Air Patrol’s Puerto Rico Wing celebrated its 70th Anniversary of History during the Annual Conference and Awards Banquet in Wyndham Candelero Beach Resort at Palmas del Mar, Humacao, Puerto Rico.
Puerto Rico Wing held for the first time a very successful Training Leaders of Cadets (TLC) Intermediate course. It was held on 13 July 2019 at the Honeywell Aerospace Conference room facilities in Aguadilla, PR. There were a total of 38 students representing 20 different CAP units.
